Joyce and Madeleine, two of the dynamic Abuelas, are thoughtful, passionate, and not reticent about saying they’re incensed by what is happening to asylum-seekers, families, and children as they cross the border into the U.S. seeking asylum.  The group released the ‘Crying Tape” of children in the processing centers being separated from their parents, they won the John F.
